ABOUT PHASE II
communitywide
TOGETHER, THE PHASE I & PHASE II CAPs CREATE A COMPREHENSIVE ROADMAP TO REDUCE OUR COUNTY'S CONTRIBUTION TO CLIMATE CHANGE FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
Monroe County's
role
Monroe County developed a community-wide GHG inventory and CAP to better understand emissions from the County and all its stakeholders –including residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, and all other energy dependent activities that occur within Monroe County. This effort, called the Phase II CAP, has a much larger scope of emissions sources inventoried and the potential actions for climate change mitigation, and was passed by the Monroe County Legislature and signed by the County Executive in August 2023.
